Thing #1: What This Is (and why it’s worth your time)
First, I should probably introduce myself…
I’m Ryan Deiss, CEO of The Scalable Company and the guy behind The Accidental MBA.
I created this newsletter for us…the “accidental entrepreneurs.”
Business owners who don’t have any “formal” business training… who just started building, then one day realized we were responsible for a team, a P&L, and a calendar full of “Gotta minutes?” that we frequently have no clue how to answer or fix.
That was my story.
Today, my partners and I run a portfolio of companies doing over $200M a year, and along the way, we’ve learned a few things that work (and A LOT of things that don’t).
That’s what this newsletter is about: sharing one tactical, founder-tested tip each week based on what’s actually working in our own companies.
And before I hit send, I ask myself one question:
“Could this help a business owner generate at least $10K in new sales, unlock $10K in profit, or save 10 hours a week through better systems?”
If the answer is “Yes,” I send it.
If the answer is “No,” I go back to the drawing board.
New issues go out every Sunday (just before the week starts and the chaos begins). And since each issue can be consumed in 3 minutes or less (and can add at least $10K to your bottom line), I’d say it’s worth a quick skim.
